I, Jill Osterhage, am still a small town girl at heart. I was born in the little rural town of Rockville, Indiana, and now call Newburgh, Indiana home. My hometown recalls memories of when children played happily in the streets, chased fireflies on warm summer nights and had the comfort of Grandma, just down the road.

Later, my family moved to Vincennes, Indiana, where I married my high school sweetheart and started our own family. After being transferred several times, my family made our home in Evansville, Indiana. Brad (my husband) and I have three incredible grown children; Michael, Danielle, and Mitchell.

After working 26 years in dentistry and orthodontics, I know the value of a beautiful smile. I marveled over how dental work changed people's lives and their self-esteem. This one simple thing brought life and happiness to their faces.

Life is full of challenges though. I received news that so many other people have dreaded and heard. I had cancer. It was time to reevaluate my life and enjoy the people and things around me. The nagging question was, "What do I want to leave behind for my family and friends?" The answer was simple — smiles, the most beautiful curve one possesses. Instead of helping people to smile, I would capture those smiles through photography. The gift of a photograph to grace the desks, tables and places of honor that tells stories to friends and families.

I picked up my first DSLR camera in March of 2012. My first photo shoot was in February of 2013 and I have been honing my craft and building my portfolio of children, families and friends ever since. I hope my photography will help capture memories of happy childhoods and the beautiful wonders of growing up.

My family and I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with Jill and capturing moments that I now look back on and treasure so much!  Pictures are so special to me and having someone who is not only patient but interactive with my two young boys really meant so much. We just built our new home and I can not wait to have Jill out to capture more beautiful moments! "

" My family had our pictures taken last year with Osterhage Photography and still to this day I look at how great the pictures are. She really brought out my boys character and made them feel like movie stars. I have always had a hard time getting them to WANT their picture taken but Jill made it easy and fun! We did creative things that a "normal" photographer would't do and this made for an easy and fun photo shoot. When we did have a mini meltdown she was so patient and understanding and quickly turned it around. We can't wait to get them done this summer again! Greatful for her being there to answer questions quickly regarding clothing choice and locations. Thanks for the awesome service"

" Dear Jill,

You will never know how much we (Jim and I ) appreciate all the pictures you have taken of our growing family. The prenatal pictures of our oldest son, Jeff and his wife Francesca...perfect. Especially after losing their son, Troy. They were just the best we could have ever hoped for. The fact that we could use them for a "reverse reveal" was beyond perfect. How many moms and dads get to do that? The way you added the "pink" into Francesca's stripped sweater for their clue was ever so sweet.

Now, to go on to Miss Ava Marie's photo shoot. Words can never describe that day for us. I can still look at them every day and still just tear up! That sweet, beautiful granddaughter of ours who is so special to us....no words. They were innocent, stunning and at times a little sultry but tasteful. You captured her sassy, but ever so sweet and old soul personality.

I can't thank you enough, old friend for the memories you have given us for a lifetime! "
